Darling in the Franxx (2018) Bluray Cover. The narrative takes place in a far-off era where the earth is ravaged, and to survive, mankind erects a nomadic stronghold, Plantation.

The pilots who are bred within the confines of Plantation dwell in Mistilteinn, nicknamed the “birdcage,” leading a sheltered life devoid of knowledge about the world beyond or the liberty to soar the skies.

Their days are spent battling to fulfill assignments, with their adversaries being enigmatic colossal creatures called Kyouryuu. The children operate mechanized robots called Franxx to confront them, and riding the Franxx is their validation of existence.
